The Community Center is at the heart of Magalia Community Park and serves to bring Magalians together. Its purpose is to provide a gathering place for all members of the community and visitors from throughout the Ridge and beyond.
The Community Center (formerly the “Clubhouse” of the Paradise Pines Golf Course) is available to host your wedding reception, birthday party, or corporate event! The main building affords over 1600 square feet of meeting, activity, and classroom space with restrooms, heating, and air conditioning. Tables and chairs are available for use and audio/video equipment can be provided upon request. An outdoor patio area is immediately adjacent to the building.
The Community Center can accommodate up to 100 persons in an assembly setting, or up to 85 for a banquet.
Our picnic area is a great spot for lawn games, concerts, picnics and more! This area can be included as part of a rental but is also available to the local residents for free from dawn to dusk.
Through partnerships with outside organizations and utilizing our own pool of uniquely skilled volunteers, Magalia Community Center is developing a regular series of new & ongoing programs especially for residents of the Upper Ridge. By extension, these programs have attracted residents from Paradise as well...all are welcome.
A large portion of students who attend Paradise schools reside in Magalia. Recognizing the need to serve these children with a fun “safe space” outside of school in their own backyard, a group of parents formed the MCP Youth Council. The Youth Council is more than just about putting on move & craft days & teen nights; we have also developed a Life Skills Workshop to help teach basic skills in sewing and cooking to teenagers and pre-teens. This latest program has just recently launched and more of these workshops will be coming soon. For more info on how you can become a part of the Youth Council, please call us at 530-413-9158.
The Resource and Information Center is located inside the Community Center and is dedicated to the rebuild and development of the entire Upper Ridge post-Camp Fire. Visitors have access to information on grant opportunities for rebuilding, updated evacuation routes, and resources from a variety of local organizations from the County to the Fire Safe Council, including emergency preparedness, home hardening, how to keep defensible space around your property and more. We also offer copy, print, fax and Wi-Fi services.
